Everything you need to know about the Serious Alpha System.

The Basics

What is Serious Alpha?+
Serious Alpha is a situational-awareness tool for ES futures. It’s a proprietary TradingView indicator: a chart-side engine that reads market structure and order flow, alongside a built-in analytical dashboard that shows the whole picture in real time and renders a clear verdict when the pieces line up. Paired with it: the onboarding to read it fast and an owner who keeps showing up. One instrument, any strategy: you bring the method. It shows you the field.
Do I have to trade your setups?+
No: and that’s the point. Serious Alpha is a complete situational-awareness tool, and every element on the chart has its own switch. Run all eight setups, run only the two you like, or turn every signal off and keep the field itself: the Rail drawn and validated for you, key levels mapped, structure read continuously: underneath your own strategy. Members do all three.
Does it work on markets other than ES?+

Yes: but not by stretching one tool across every chart. Each market gets its own dedicated edition, rebuilt around how that market actually trades: its sessions, key levels, settlement, and risks. Today there are five: ES (S&P), NQ (Nasdaq), CL (crude oil), GC (gold), and YM (Dow). The S&P edition carries our longest track record, seven years, and the others run the same engine, calibrated to their market. Trade the one you know best.

Are the other markets as proven as ES?+

They share the same engine: the situational-awareness logic refined over seven years on the S&P. What differs is the track record on each specific market: ES is our home market with the longest history. We’d rather tell you that plainly than pretend every edition has identical mileage. The engine is proven; each edition is tuned to its market’s real structure.

Do I get every market, or just one?+

Monthly membership covers the market you choose. All-Access covers every edition. Both founding tiers cover every edition we ever build, current and future: Founding Lifetime members own them outright, and Founding Rate-Lock members keep them at a rate that never rises. That’s most of why the 100 founding seats exist.

Can I buy just the YM (Dow) edition?+

Yes. If you trade the Dow and nothing else, you can buy the YM edition on its own: you don’t have to take All-Access to get it. It runs the same situational-awareness engine as our flagship, purpose-tuned for the Dow E-mini: its price scale, its structural levels, its round-number grid, and its own volatility read. If the Dow is your chart, it’s the read built for it: $150/mo on its own, or included in All-Access if you want the full set.

Who is this for?+
Serious Alpha is for the serious trader at any level. The tool works the same whether you’ve traded for 10 years or 10 days: the filter is commitment, not résumé. The primary buyer is the funded-account ES trader and the self-funded serious retail trader; we also genuinely serve the committed beginner who would rather start on a complete, disciplined tool than waste two years learning the hard way. You should be comfortable with TradingView or willing to learn it. What we’re not for: the lottery-ticket trader looking for a signal to copy without understanding it.
Why futures: and why a separate edition per market?+
Specialization is the edge. Rather than one tool stretched across forex, crypto, and stocks, we build a dedicated edition for each futures market we cover: ES, NQ, CL, GC, and YM. Each runs the same situational-awareness engine, but calibrated for how that specific contract actually trades, its session transitions, its volatility regime, and the structural levels that matter on that market. A tool that tries to read everything reads nothing well. We recommend starting with ES: it’s the most liquid futures contract in the world and our home market: but if your market is one of the other four, there’s an edition built for it.
What makes this different from other trading courses?+
A course teaches you and leaves. This stays on your chart. Three things set it apart. First, it’s a live tool, not a video library: it reads the market every session, whether or not a trade is forming. Second, it shows its work: where price sits, what order flow is doing underneath it, and a clear verdict: so you decide with conviction instead of staring at charts all day. Third, it’s built around one instrument on one timeframe, ES on the 15-minute, and the awareness layer works with whatever way you already trade. Reversals are the flagship playbook; when the trend is too strong to fade. It reads that too and the verdict adapts.

The Education

What’s included?+
Membership includes the full indicator suite (the engine plus the built-in analytical dashboard), guided onboarding and a setup playbook that gets you wired and reading the tool fast, live Order Flow analysis (built in), The Operator Course (a lesson for every setup), the full User Guide, the Alpha Read library, a weekly market-context note from the desk, desktop and mobile setup guides, community coming soon, and every future update. The training is focused and practical: enough to make the tool land, without filler.
What are Alpha Reads?+
Alpha Reads are premium book summaries, 24 volumes covering the most important trading books ever written, from Trading in the Zone to Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets. Each summary distills the key concepts and includes practical “SA Application” sections showing exactly how each idea connects to Serious Alpha. They’re included with membership.
Do I need to read all 24 Alpha Reads before I start?+
No. The tool is self-contained. The Alpha Reads are a supplementary library: think of them as accelerated mentorship from the best trading minds in history. Most traders dip into them as they go, starting with Trading in the Zone and Come Into My Trading Room.

The Indicator

What platform does the indicator run on?+
The SA Reversal System runs on TradingView. You’ll need a TradingView account with access to ES futures data. It works on desktop and mobile: same tool, same verdicts, same discipline.
How does it decide if a trade is worth taking?+
The tool reads the inputs that matter on ES intraday: volatility regime, session timing, key structural levels, momentum, volume, and more. The specific combination, weighting, settings, and detection logic are proprietary to Serious Alpha. The result is a clear verdict: stand aside, valid setup, or high-conviction. You always see that the tool built a case and what the case shows: you never see a black-box arrow with nothing behind it.
Do you only do reversals?+
Reversals at key levels are the flagship trade type and the brand identity. But the tool also recognizes when a level is holding inside a trend too strong to fight: and the verdict adapts. Same levels. Same discipline. Different call. The tool is honest about what the market is actually showing instead of forcing every setup into a reversal box.
What is the progressive alert system?+
The tool alerts you in three escalating reads. First read, price arrives at a level that matters; stay aware. Second read, the case is building; the tool is reading the reaction. Third read, the verdict is rendered on a closed candle, with the tool’s reasoning visible. This means you don’t need to watch charts all day. The tool watches for you and escalates only when it has something defensible to say.
What is the “closed candle rule”?+
This is the single most important execution rule. The tool reads in real time as the picture develops: that’s it doing its job. But verdicts are based on closed candles only. You never act on a forming read. Every entry is confirmed, every decision is deliberate. This one rule eliminates the majority of false signals and impulsive trades.
What timeframe does it use?+
The tool is calibrated for the 15-minute chart. It also pulls data from the 1-hour timeframe automatically for structural context. The 15-minute view is the primary recommended setup and is what the tool is built around.
What’s the analytical dashboard?+
The dashboard is a real-time analytical panel on your chart that shows the tool’s reasoning at a glance: current session, level status, the tool’s read of the reaction, the verdict, directional bias, and the in-trade picture. It’s your mission control: no need to check multiple sources or flip between tabs.
Can I customize the indicator’s appearance?+
Absolutely. The indicator ships with multiple built-in color themes, from institutional-grade to high-energy to luxury: plus a fully custom option so you can match your own palette. You can also color candles by theme and enable zone highlights. New themes are added over time.
What is the Order Flow (+1) feature?+
The +1 is the confirmation layer: live Order Flow analysis, real-time institutional buying and selling data at every price level. The tool factors actual money flow into its read of the level and surfaces it on the dashboard. Order Flow is built into the suite at no extra charge from Serious Alpha. It uses live volume data that TradingView only provides on Premium or Ultimate plans: which is why membership requires one. New to TradingView? Our partner link gives new TradingView users $15 off their plan. We earn a commission if you subscribe through it, at no extra cost to you.
Do I need TradingView Premium to use it?+
Yes. Serious Alpha requires a TradingView Premium (or Ultimate) plan: roughly $50–60/mo billed annually, paid to TradingView. That plan is what unlocks the live Order Flow data the full read is built on: the veto that blocks a setup when aggressive flow disagrees, the crown that marks one when it confirms, and the in-trade health read. We made it a requirement because the version without that data genuinely reads less: and we’d rather every member trade with the complete picture. New to TradingView? Our partner link gives new TradingView users $15 off. We earn a commission if you subscribe through it, at no extra cost to you.

Pricing & Access

How much does it cost?+
Membership is $150/month: cancel anytime. It includes everything: the full indicator suite (engine + dashboard), guided onboarding and the setup playbook, live Order Flow analysis (built in), The Operator Course (a lesson for every setup), the full User Guide, the Alpha Read library (24 volumes), a weekly note from the desk, community coming soon, and every future update. You can try it live first with a 14-day ES trial for $20. At launch only, the first 100 members get founding terms: 25 Founding Lifetime seats at $1,500 once, never billed again, and 75 Founding Rate-Lock seats at $1,500/year for All-Access at a rate that never rises. When the 100 founding seats are gone, they don’t reopen.
Is there a subscription or recurring fee?+
Yes: the core membership is $150/month, and that’s deliberate. This isn’t a course you finish; it’s a live tool that reads the market on your chart every session, actively developed, with new versions and Alpha Reads added over time. A monthly membership keeps it that way: and at less than one prop reset a month, it’s built to pay for itself. Cancel anytime. If you’d rather commit up front, the launch founding tier is $1,500: paid once for lifetime access on 25 seats, or yearly at a locked rate on 75. Limited to 100 seats total, and it doesn’t reopen.
Is there a refund policy?+
Yes, and it’s worth reading rather than assuming. The Serious Alpha™ Confidence Guarantee™ covers both founding tiers for 30 days: if you’ve gone through onboarding, put the tool on a live chart, and it’s genuinely not earning its place, we’ll get on a one-on-one call to make sure it’s wired and reading correctly, and if it’s truly not for you and you can show you applied it as taught, we’ll work with you on a resolution.

The $20 trial fee and monthly membership payments are not refundable. Instead, the trial is priced so that finding out costs you almost nothing, and the monthly has no lock-in at all: cancel in one click, any time, and you’re never billed again. See our full refund policy for details.
When does it launch?+
In two stages. First, a 14-day ES trial for $20, offered to waitlist members before anyone else. Full launch follows, with the founding tiers and All-Access. We announce exact dates once the build is locked and everything has been tested end to end, and the waitlist hears before anyone else. ES is the flagship edition; the NQ, CL, GC and YM editions follow as each one clears live testing.

Technical Requirements

What do I need to get started?+
A TradingView account with access to ES futures data and correlated market data feeds. Most TradingView plans with CME data include what you need. A futures brokerage account is needed for live trading, but you can paper trade while learning.
Does the indicator work on mobile?+
Yes. The TradingView mobile app supports the tool, including the dashboard and alerts. You get the same tool, same verdicts, same discipline on your phone as on desktop. The progressive alert system is particularly powerful on mobile: you can go about your day and only look at charts when the tool tells you to.
The indicator seems slow or laggy. What should I do?+
The indicator makes multiple security requests across different timeframes and correlated markets, which can cause initial loading time. This is normal. Once loaded, it should run smoothly. If you experience persistent lag, try reducing the number of other indicators on your chart or upgrading your TradingView plan for faster data.

Getting Started

What should I do in my first two weeks?+
Don’t touch anything. Use all default settings. Watch how the tool reads levels, where the verdicts land, and how the dashboard tells the story throughout the trading session. Your only job in weeks 1–2 is observation. In weeks 3–4, set up your alerts and fine-tune notification preferences. Month 2+ is when you explore advanced settings.
How many setups should I expect per day?+
Typically 3–5 reads per day, depending on market conditions and volatility. Not all will be high-conviction: the tool is designed to show you what it sees while making clear which trades meet the highest bar. Quality over quantity.
Are there settings I should never change?+
Yes. The core structural settings are industry-standard values validated across decades of market data. Changing them doesn’t improve results: it just makes the indicator behave differently from what the onboarding teaches. The Indicator User Guide covers exactly which settings to experiment with and which to leave alone.
